Server infos

Hosting
Roflc.at is hosted on the BluePenguin.org server kindly housed by JP Net in Switzerland.

Software
This server is running the lastest version of GNU/Linux Ubuntu Server (11.10) unsing the 3.0 Linux Kernel.

Hardware
The machine is a Dell PowerEdge 860 with a Intel Xeon X3220 @2.4GHz (Quadcore), 8GB of RAM and 2x 250Go Sata Harddrives RAID 1.

Backups
The server is backed up every day and critical files (like the Roflc.at database) are backed up multiple times per day.

Monitoring
The server RAID is monitored by a home made tool which sends a SMS to the administrator if a problem happens with one of the hard drives. And the uptime is monitored using the Pingdom service :
